This horseback adventure offers an authentic experience of Mongolia’s nomadic culture, riding the same resilient horses that powered Genghis Khaan’s 13th-century empire. The journey leads you through the hilly steppes of Central Mongolia and into the remote Naiman Nuur—Eight Lakes—set 2,400 meters high in the Khangai Mountains. Here, you’ll ride or hike between the lakes of Shireet, Mukhar, Khaliut, Bugat, Khaya, Duruu, Khuis, and Onon, surrounded by untouched forests and mountains.

Our countryside tour will begin with a trip to Elsentasarhai ( mini gobi) This unique location showcases the diverse features of the Gobi Desert, mountain steppes, and grasslands all in one area. We will arrive at Elsentasarkhai by lunchtime, where you can enjoy an authentic Mongolian barbecue. Next, we will see how the equestrians catch the horses, get instruction about local riding techniques, the best way to treat Mongol horses, their character, and have a 2-3 accustom riding in the semi-desert area of Elsentasarkhai. In the Orkhon River Valley, Kharkhorin town and the beautiful Erdenezuu monastery live side by side. Using repurposed materials from the demolished city, the monastery was constructed on the remains of Kharkhorum, the former capital of Mongolia. With a history spanning more than 400 years, Erdenezuu is the first and biggest monastery in Mongolia. Explore the temple museum's exquisite architecture and some priceless religious artefacts. Today's excursion includes a visit to the Kharkhorin Museum and a look at some remnants of an old city. We get on the horses and ride through the Orkhon River Valley after lunch. Day 4: Orkhon River Valley

Day 5: Ulaantsutgalan waterfall


As we ride farther into the distance and through more obstacle areas and wooded mountain routes, the riding gets harder. despite the fact that nature will be unspoiled and pure. We'll arrive at Eight Lakes, our primary destination. Spend the night in the tent on Khuis Lake's coast. Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner; lodging: camp

Day 6: Naiman Lake


The biggest waterfall in central Mongolia, Ulaantsutgalan, cascades 24 meters down a lava cliff. In the next days, we will witness more yaks than sheep, goats, and horses. The journey follows valleys covered with basalt that span a few rivers and streams. Discover the stunning region and lava cliffs when you get in Ulaantsutgalan in the late afternoon. If you're a good swimmer, you might want to try swimming close to the waterfall. We're going to camp beside the waterfall for the night. Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner; lodging: camp

Day 7: Ride between the lakes


Today is a day to unwind or engage in optional activities like strolling or riding among the lovely lakes, taking in the scenery, observing flowers and birds, etc.

You will meet the support vehicle today by riding back into the Buureg Valley. After that, ride on to a ger five km past the Ulaantsutgalan waterfall to rest after your mountain activities. Ger camp lodging; breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Day 9: Shiveet Ulaan Mountain


Through the stunning Orkhon Valley, the picturesque journey continues. Reach the foot of Shiveet Ulaan Mountain, which is covered in trees. Spend the night inside a tent. Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner; lodging: camp

Day 10: Tovkhon Monastery


You will visit Tovkhon Monastery in the morning after hiking or riding to the top of Shiveet Ulaan Mountain. The 2,312-meter rocky summit of Shiveet Ulaan Mountain, which is covered in forests, is home to this monastery. See the meditation caves and the monastery. From the summit of the mountain, vistas are breathtaking. It's time to bid the horses and equestrians farewell, return to the campsite, and have lunch. The trip continues with a drive to Ugii Lake, where you will spend the night at a ger camp while taking in the stunning views of the surrounding mountain steppe and the lake.

Around noon, we will reach Ulaanbaatar. The afternoon is yours to explore and take in the sights and lively culture of this amazing city after we've booked into our hotel!
