Horseback riding in Mongolia offers a unique way to explore its vast landscapes and nomadic culture. Stay with local families in traditional gers, traverse the Elsen Tasarkhai Sand Dunes, ride through the UNESCO-listed Orkhon Valley, and visit Kharkhorum, Erdene Zuu Monastery, and the Kharkhorum Museum. Experience freedom and adventure across open steppe, rolling hills, and pristine valleys. The best time for this tour is summer (June–August), though spring and fall provide quieter, cooler conditions.

We will meet you at 8:30 am. Then our tour will head to the Semi Gobi Elsen Tasarkhai. Elsen Tasarkhai is a stunning semi-desert region located in central Mongolia. The area is often referred to as the “Mini Gobi” due to its resemblance to the larger Gobi Desert. Camel riding 1h.

Today, we are heading to the Orkhon Valley. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Orkhon Valley, with its lush fields, winding river, and the impressive Khangai Mountains rising in the background, while you set out on hikes and horseback rides to fully engage with this magnificent landscape.

Day 4: Continuing the trek

Continue on an exciting Horseback Tour Mongolia to the north through the Eight Lakes. During this adventure, you can expect breathtaking landscapes, cultural immersion, and unforgettable memories in the heart of the Khangai Mountains. Enjoy the panoramic view of the lakes.

Day 5: Buurug Valley

Today, we will depart from the beautiful lakes and journey towards the Orkhon Valley. Value each moment while you ride through this amazing area on horseback. Explore the varied plants and animals in the region, and meet local nomadic families to witness their lifestyle

Day 6: Orkhon Waterfall



Day 7: Kharkhorum

Continue the horseback tour to Orkhon Waterfall. The landscape changes into a flat and wide valley. Enjoy the waterfall near the Orkhon River and hike alongside the deep canyon. This will be the final day of Horseback riding. Relax at a tourist camp and reflect on the horse trek adventure.

Day 8: Ulaanbaatar

Kharkhorum served as the capital of the Mongol Empire between 1235 and 1263. Currently, Kharkhorum is a small settlement and one of the key tourist attractions in Mongolia. Visit the Erdene Zuu Monastery, constructed in 1585 on the remnants of the ancient city; it is among the oldest Buddhist monasteries in Mongolia
