Meet your guide and driver at 8:30 AM and travel to Elsen Tasarkhai, a beautiful semi-desert region in central Mongolia known as the “Mini Gobi.” Here, rolling sand dunes meet green grasslands and rocky mountains, creating a unique landscape. Enjoy a one-hour camel ride across the dunes and take in the peaceful scenery before settling into your ger camp for the evening.

Travel to the beautiful Orkhon Valley, known for its wide grasslands, winding river, and views of the Khangai Mountains. Enjoy the peaceful countryside with opportunities for hiking and horseback riding, taking in the stunning scenery and experiencing Mongolia’s nomadic way of life.

Day 4: Continuing the trek
Continue your horseback journey through the beautiful Eight Lakes region, surrounded by the forests and mountains of the Khangai range. Enjoy panoramic views of the lakes, take in the peaceful wilderness, and experience the remote countryside on horseback.

Day 5: Buurug Valley
Leave the beautiful Eight Lakes behind and ride toward the scenic Orkhon Valley. Enjoy the changing landscapes, spot local wildlife, and take in the peaceful mountain scenery along the way. You’ll also have the chance to meet nomadic families and learn more about their traditional way of life.

Day 6: Orkhon Waterfall
Day 7: Kharkhorum
Continue your horseback journey toward Orkhon Waterfall as the rugged mountain scenery opens into wide valleys and grasslands. Upon arrival, admire the waterfall and take a walk along the surrounding canyon to enjoy the beautiful landscape. This marks the final day of your horseback adventure. In the evening, relax at a tourist ger camp and look back on your unforgettable journey through the Mongolian countryside.

Visit Kharkhorin, the former capital of the Mongol Empire and now a small town rich in history. Explore Erdene Zuu Monastery, founded in 1585 on the ruins of the ancient city. As one of Mongolia’s oldest Buddhist monasteries, it offers a fascinating glimpse into the country’s religious and cultural heritage.
