An expedition across the Gobi and the reindeer community. I reserved the 16-day "Explore Mongolia Overland Tour" with Mongol Horizon. The route goes south, then north. All meals are included, creating a laid-back atmosphere. Sometimes the gap between breakfast and lunch felt long, but supermarket visits and occasional snacks, like waffles or cookies, helped. Our guide was young but skilled and very knowledgeable. The company handled everything, like arranging transport for forgotten medicine and airport transfer. Overall, I suggest taking a tour with Mongol Horizon.
